David Nelson, Managing Partner
David has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. He has spent countless hours providing financial seminars at universities in Nevada and Utah. Through his seminars he has created great relationships with hundreds of clients. His greatest satisfaction comes from helping other representatives expand their vision and reach new goals. David still works in the field and has hands on experience working with clients to meet their needs. David is an avid snowmobiler, hiker, and enjoys boating with his family in the summer.
Robert Nelson, CLU, ChFC, Managing Partner
Robert has over 27 years of experience in the financial industry. Along with David, Robert manages the region which encompasses several western states. Robert's years of experience give him a broad product knowledge of many life insurance products. As a result, NFG has enjoyed tremendous growth over the years. Robert is a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Chartered Life Underwriter. Robert is a golf enthusiast and enjoys spending time with agents on the golf course.
Brian Nelson, Recruiting and Compliance Manager, Utah and Colorado
Brian has been a part of the Nelson Financial Group team since 2005. Brian is responsible for the compliance operations at NFG. He graduated in 1999 from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems and is Microsoft certified. Brian enjoys the mountains, camping with his family, scouting, hiking, and snowshoeing.

Jeff Johnson, Compliance and Client Relationship Management
Jeff, along with Brian manages the compliance wing of Nelson Financial Group. Jeff has been part of the NFG Family for 7 years. Jeff's duties include assisting agents in platforms and products, giving our agents tools they need to do business. Jeff also manages David and Robert's personal books of business. Jeff is a race car enthusiast and participates in many races. Jeff loves spending time with his wife, Connie, and daughter, Sage.

Scott Karstens, Advanced Case Design and Quoting
Scott has been with the NFG family for 3 years. Scott's duties include quoting, illustrations, case design, and assisting in case management. Scott has over 11 years in the insurance and financial services industry. Prior to joining NFG, Scott worked with over 4,000 agents doing advanced case design and sales training. Scott also played Division I football for Western Michigan University. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife Rachel and their two children.

Lori Giles, Case Manager
Lori has been working with the Nelson's for the past three years as NFG's underwriting and new business specialist. Lori is responsible for all of our new business policies and procedures and works with our agents to complete all of their underwriting. Her main focus is to move business through underwriting as soon as possible. Prior to joining NFG, Lori was a librarian for a private school for eight years and taught communications at Judge Memorial High School.

Alex Nelson, Marketing and Commissions
Alex is our commissions and internal reporting specialist. Alex has been with NFG for the past 2 years. Alex works daily with our agents to resolve commission issues and is the bimonthly host of NFG's webinar series. Alex is a recent graduate of the University of Utah with a BS in Finance and will be starting law school this fall. In her spare time Alex loves to run, hike, camp, and rock climb.

Alicia Inkley, Contracting and Case Management
Alicia is the newest member of the NFG Family. Alicia is our contracting manager and assists agents with all licensing and appointment needs. Alicia is also one of our Life Case Managers, working to expedite cases with our many carriers. Alicia has a background in sales and insurance recruiting. When not hard at work at NFG Alicia enjoys hiking, cooking and gardening. She is the proud mother of three children and four grandchildren.
